BY GROUND TRANSPORTATION: If traveling by car, visitors can reach the The University of Texas-Pan American campus by the north/south Highway 281 — either directly from the north or by east-west expressway 83, which provides a connection between Highway 281 through Edinburg and Highway 77 through Harlingen. Both highways are modern, well-maintained four-lane thoroughfares.

SHARY MANSION

The Shary Mansion was bequeathed to the university as a gift from the Shary family. It reflects the early age of the citrus industry in The Valley. Its elegance creates a wonderful place to meet new people and enjoy South Texas hospitality.
